What were some of the challenges you faced recording a record as a solo artist after you had recorded so many records with your band?
There weren't really any major challenges in making this record with regard to my new status. It was actually a lot of fun knowing that I could pretty much use who I wanted. Grant and Phil had to make a lot of compromises to their style to play the music they way I heard it and it was freeing to know that I was now not bending anyone's taste into my direction.

When Let It Go was being made, how much of the record making process where you involved with?

I was really involved in the pre-production heavily, that is setting up the overall boundaries and choosing the players, producers and songs. There were times though when it was good for me not to be around. I would leave the producers and players alone for sometimes days on end and then return and completely erase all they did! No, just kidding, I was always totally amazed at how these guys got inside the songs and made them eve better. It was fun allowing experts in to do their thing.
