Source Magazine boasts, "When you want to hear some outer planetary rhymes, Grits be the ones," referring to Tennessee's red-hot rap duo, Grits. URB Magazine likewise proclaims, "The flava police need to ride south of the Mason-Dixon line to funk Opryland right on up," while Phat Farm's Darryl Tillman praises the duo for bringing "a whole new flava to this rap game."
